At dawn this morning (December 28, Vietnam time), Manchester United faced Newcastle United in the match of round 19 of the English Premier League. Against a team that was much underrated, however, the Red Devils only got a draw with a score of 1-1.
Speaking to the media after this match, coach Ralf Rangnick was not satisfied with the performance of his students. The German teacher frankly pointed out the problems that MU’s stars need to improve soon in the near future. The 63-year-old military leader said:
“I am not satisfied with this one bit. We are trying to improve our control of the game. Today, Man United did not dominate the game, except for a few moments.”
“It’s about the physical, the energy in the players. What about state transitions? In all of the above aspects, we are not doing the best we can.”
“Overall, Man United need to improve their performance. If you go 1-0 up after just seven minutes at St James’ Park, the rest is not easy. If you want to have a successful match against Newcastle, you have to work on your fitness. We have to improve that.”
With 1 point obtained in this match, MU has not yet been able to get ahead of the leading group. Currently, the Red Devils are ranked 7th in the Premier League table with 28 points, however, coach Ralf Rangnick’s army still has a great opportunity to break into the top 4 when there are still 2 matches to be played.
